Безкарність – це ключ, що відчиняє двері для агресії. Можна поглянути на будь-яку загарбницьку війну в історії – всі вони мають одну спільну рису: винуватець війни не вірив, що йому доведеться відповідати за скоєне.

Перемогти безкарність – це знищити джерело агресій. Ось що ми можемо! Ми всі! Україна, і Нідерланди, і кожен, хто буде таким же рішучим у захисті життя, як ми з вами.

Перемога у війні здобувається силою зброї – that’s how the job gets done. І я вдячний вам, Нідерланди, за кожну поставлену Україні одиницю зброї – за все, що дозволяє нам тримати оборону і поступово готувати наші активні дії.

Сказав про це під час виступу перед представниками громадськості, політичних та експертних кіл Нідерландів і міжнародних інституцій, розміщених у Гаазі.

Impunity is the key that opens the door to aggression. If you look at any war of aggression in history, they all have one thing in common – the perpetrators of the war did not believe they would have to answer for what they did.

Defeating impunity of aggressors means destroying the origins of aggression. This is what we can do! All of us! Ukraine and the Netherlands and everyone who is as determined to protect life as we are.

Victory in the war is won by force of arms – that’s how the job gets done. And I am grateful to you and the Netherlands for every piece of weapon supplied to Ukraine – for everything that helps us to maintain our defence and gradually prepare our active actions.

I said this during a speech to representatives of the public, political and expert circles of the Netherlands and international institutions based in The Hague.
